Fascinating Lives and Landscapes:
The History Behind Cincinnati Nature Center

This published book vividly recounts the stories of the three properties—the Krippendorf Property, Long Branch Farm and the Groesbeck Estate—which make up today’s Cincinnati Nature Center. Brett Harper’s captivating narration brings historical details and memories from descendants to life with more than one hundred rare and previously unpublished photographs. From pioneer days to modern times, the history of each property eventually intersects to establish one of America’s preeminent nature centers.

"Rock the BowTie"

We’re partnering with the BowTie Cause to offer bow ties and scarves featuring our exclusive monarch design. Milkweed to Monarchs is a signature initiative of the Center for Conservation & Stewardship at Cincinnati Nature Center, with the intent of educating the community on the fragile plight of the monarch butterfly and promoting the widespread planting of milkweed in Southwest Ohio and beyond. All proceeds from the sale of these bow ties and scarves will support our conservation and education efforts.

Purchase your bow tie or scarf at our Nature Shop daily from 10 am-5 pm!
