Become a Nature Center Volunteer

Nature is for everyone—that is the foundation of all our work at Cincinnati Nature Center. Through research, education, and proven conservation tactics, we work to protect the land and wildlife within our boundaries while educating visitors, members, and neighbors on what they can do to help in their own yards, neighborhoods, and communities.

With a passionate team of staff and volunteers, we continue to look for ways to improve visitors' experiences while keeping our focus on protecting this haven for all its inhabitants.

Because of our 500+ volunteers, our community is stronger. We continue to thrive in our efforts to enrich lives by encouraging a passion for conserving nature through experience, education, and stewardship. Our volunteers connect our community in meaningful ways such as:

  • assisting staff in providing services to our visitors
  • inspiring ways in which to conserve, preserve, and restore the natural treasure here at the Nature Center
  • increasing the community's awareness of Cincinnati Nature Center, its mission, and programs

When considering a volunteer commitment with the Nature Center, we encourage you to:

  • Register to attend one of our programs and observe how volunteers provide customer care to our visitors. Visit Things to Do to learn more about upcoming programs and events.
  • Please visit our Opportunity Directory to consider areas of interest and how you can make an impact as a volunteer.

All volunteers are required to attend an orientation/onboarding session. Orientations are hosted during times of the year to coincide with upcoming programs and opportunties.

When completing your application, please select the following date:
