Field Trips: Preschool and Kindergarten Play-Based Learning Program

Role models like parents, grandparents and teachers have the ability to engage young children in nature long term, instilling a love for learning in the outdoors. During these special programs for Preschool and Kindergarten students, Nature Center staff will teach family volunteers to run simple stations in the Nature PlayScape. Enthusiastic parents can help children feel comfortable in nature and enjoy real-life experiences on topics covered in their classrooms. See our brochure above for details on which program is right for your students.

Field Trips: Learning Expeditions Program

Enhance your life science curriculum by visiting Rowe Woods with your class for one of our experiential lessons. Classes are divided into groups of 8-10 students with a trained Cincinnati Nature Center leader and school chaperone for personal, hands-on experiences in nature.  Students are able to follow their interests within the focus of the lesson through organic learning opportunities and teachable moments. Ask us how we can customize your field trip by connecting to recent and upcoming classroom experiences. All lessons integrate Ohio academic standards and Next Generation Science Standards.

* Calendar shows availability for Field Trip Learning Expeditions Programs only. Updated daily at 4:00 pm.
