You may find cicadas, or their exoskeletons, on trees, plants, and other structures around Rowe Woods and Long Branch Farm & Trails but the majority of them spend their day high in the tree canopy calling for a mate. These insects may be loud and clumsy flyers, but they are completely harmless—they do not sting or bite.
