Choose Your Own Adventure!

Ask a staff member about fun activites in and around Rowe Visitor Center, or how to check out one of our Adventure Packs! Activities include:

Birding Backpack
How many birds can you find at Rowe Woods? This pack includes a field guide, binoculars, a few educational laminated info sheets and a game, a clipboard with coloring pages, pencils and crayons.

Art Backpack
Start a nature journal by documenting what you see at Rowe Woods. This pack includes a clipboard with coloring pages and art supplies. Specifically: pencils, colored pencils, and crayons.

Sensory Packs
Senory Packs are available for youth and adults. Pack includes sunglasses, noise cancelling headphones, fidget toys, a clipboard with coloring pages, colored pencils, and crayons.

Hammock Rental
Attach your hammock and relax at one of our hammock hangs, located in Oak Alleé, on Harmony Ridge, along the Geology Trail, and at Lauren's Lookout.

Fish & Turtle Food (Seasonal)
Feed the resident fish and turtles in Powel Crosley Lake! A dispenser is located near the boardwalk.

Pond Dipping Kit (Seasonal)
Explore the aquatic life that lives in Matt's Pond, located on the Mashburn Family Discovery Trail! This pack includes a dipping net, a specimen container, a few educational laminated info sheets, a magnifying glass cup, an ID guide, and a clipboard with a coloring sheet, pond survey sheet, pencils, and crayons.

Note: Pond dipping is permitted ONLY at Matt's Pond with Nature Center provided equipment.
