The Cincinnati Nature Center family was deeply saddened to learn of the death of our Chief Naturalist Emeritus, Bill Creasey. Bill lost his battle with cancer and passed away on Tuesday evening, August 25, 2020.
Bill worked at the Nature Center for more than 40 years in various education positions before becoming our Chief Naturalist. Always enthusiastic, he had the rare ability to transfer his genuine love of nature to thousands of children and adults throughout the years. His caring demeanor, outgoing personality, and passion for nature endeared him to countless Nature Center members and program participants.
With such a long career at the Nature Center, Bill had many friends within the Nature Center family. We’ll miss his infectious smile, his jovial laughter, and his never-ending passion for the natural world.
His fraternity brothers at Miami University established the William J. Creasey Memorial Fund at the Nature Center, which will support programs Bill created and cared about deeply. Click here if you would like to make a memorial gift in Bill’s memory.
