Current Camp Policies and Procedures as of June 15, 2020

We’re excited to offer our fun, active, and educational nature camps this summer. We’re working hard to provide the safest experience for your child by adhering to all of the Ohio Department of Health and the Center for Disease Control best practices. These include:

  • Adhering to strict cleaning protocols of our facilities
  • Minimizing our camp groups to eight children with two adults
  • Groups will be pre-assigned to limit contact between groups
  • Mandatory hand washing and daily healthcare assessment for staff and campers
  • Staff will wear face coverings at pick-up and drop-off, and throughout the day when addressing children and/or within 6-foot distance to them
  • Masks are optional for campers, but are highly recommended when indoors
  • Separating drop-off and pick-up locations
  • Use of additional facilities for camp groups
  • And additional procedures to provide the utmost care and well-being for everyone.

Trail groups will consist of 8 campers with 2 camp counselors. Groups will be preassigned and children will be separated into groups on the first day of camp according to age. If your child has a friend or relative registered in their camp and you wish to place them in the same trail group, please indicate this on your online health form in UltraCamp under, “additional information” and we will do our best to do so as long as you indicate this TWO WEEKS PRIOR to the start of camp. If you wish for your child to be placed with a friend or a family member whose ages are not within one year of one another, our policy is to place the older camper with the younger camper’s trail group. The group that your child is assigned to will be your camper’s trail group for the week. Individual groups will not interact with one another.

We understand that your plan for the summer may have changed. We have revised our policies to help accommodate those needs.

While camp will look a little different this year, but in many ways very much the same! We will be providing your child with an intimate, special, and safe experience in nature. We have created a short video for your camper to get a glimpse of what Monday morning of camp will look like. We hope this will help familiarize you and your camper with the new morning procedures.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Now, more than ever, it is so important for your family to stay physically and mentally well. Please be assured that we are making every effort to provide for the best and healthiest camp experience for your child. We are looking forward to a wonderful summer at CincyNature Camp and are very grateful for your support!
