About CincyNature Summer Camp

CincyNature summer camps are week-long, nature day camps for children and teens, ages 3 through 13. Camps take place from June through August at Cincinnati Nature Center’s two sites: Rowe Woods in Milford and Long Branch Farm & Trails in Goshen.

Children challenge their minds and bodies while using their imaginations and creativity in a natural setting. Each camp offers unique, age-appropriate activities introducing children to new and exciting outdoor adventures in a safe and friendly environment. Fresh air, hands-on activities, close encounters with animals and plants, and increased knowledge of the natural world help build confidence, generate excitement, and gain knowledge about the environment.

  • Low camper to staff ratio.
  • Camps focus on a variety of nature-based topics.
  • Highly trained staff, including a camp director to ensure quality.

About Our Camps

Campers

Campers explore the natural world outdoors and should be able to move themselves along gravel and wood chipped trails, up and down hills, across boardwalks, and over flat and uneven ground with minimal assistance. Campers interact with peers in collaborative activities and games. To ensure safety for both campers and staff, each camper should be capable of maintaining appropriate self-control in social situations.

We’re happy to make reasonable accommodations for children with special needs, depending on their requirements. Parents and guardians with questions regarding the ability of camp staff to meet a child’s needs should contact Bekah Cohen, camp director, at rcohen@cincynature.org or (513) 831-1711, ext. 137.

Cancellation and Transfer Policies

All requests must be completed online by logging in to your camp registration account (UltraCamp) and cancelling your camp reservation. In order to receive a refund, the cancellation must be received online by 9 am two weeks prior to the start of camp. All cancellations are subject to a $50 administrative fee per request. Cancellations made with less than two weeks’ notice will not be refunded. Transfers from one camp into another are considered a cancellation and are subject to a $50 administrative fee. It is the registrant’s responsibility to re-register the camper online.

Waiting List

Campers registered for the waiting list will be contacted by email in the order their registration was received. Please provide a preferred email address so you can be reached if an opening becomes available. If a response is not received within 24 hours of email contact, the next camper on the list will automatically be contacted. If the camp opening is within one week of the camp start date, the 24-hour response policy will not apply.

Siblings at CincyNature Camp

In CincyNature Camps where there is a large age range, such as 5-9 year olds in Enchanted Forest, or 6-13 year olds in Creek Quest, etc., campers are separated into smaller, age-appropriate groups to guarantee the best experience. Campers are split based on age to ensure appropriate activities and challenge level for campers. Siblings attending these
large age range camps are often separated into different groups.

Attending CincyNature Camp with a Same-Age Friend

If your child has a friend in their camp and children are within one year of one another in age, they may be able to be placed in the same camp group together. Please remind your child to hook arms with their friend after our welcome activity at camp to see if they can be in the same group. On the first day, we will do a welcome skit and then break into groups. Children who have hooked arms (and meet criteria to be in the same group) may be placed together by staff for the camp week. You may ask staff about this at drop-off if you have further questions.

Non-Discrimination Policy
