Tisha Luthy
Nature Preschool Director

Through my experiences and education I have learned the importance of children’s development through the natural world. As Director and Teacher at the Cincinnati Nature Center Preschool, I oversee curriculum and development activities for Early Childhood Education Programs.

I have worked with young children for twenty years and hold a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Cincinnati in Early Childhood Education, with an emphasis in STEM education. I currently hold my professional teaching license and have been teaching nature-based preschool for 6 years. I received my Masters of Science degree in Early Childhood Studies in the summer of 2015 from Walden University. I am committed to providing a nurturing hands-on environment for children to grow, explore and develop a sense of wonder. Children construct their own knowledge of how the world works. I enjoy being a part of this journey.

Associate Preschool Teacher

I began my love for the outdoors when I was a young child and my parents encouraged me to spend time outdoors with my sister. As a fifth grader, I found my passion for working with young children when I was inspired by a fabulous teacher. As the years passed, I narrowed my focus to the crucial ages of three to six. While earning my Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Cincinnati in Early Childhood Education, I worked with children of all ages in various settings.

I currently hold my Ohio Department of Education teaching license and have plans to begin my Master’s Degree within the next few years. I began working at Cincinnati Nature Center in July 2012 and am excited to explore and work with the CNC Nature Preschoolers.

When I am not working with the Nature Preschoolers, I enjoy hiking, camping, biking and reading.
